DOM Transport - More than 85 Years of Experience Where to find us
A Legacy of Excellence in Removals
D.O.M. Transport was founded in the early 1930s by the late Ganni Pace, specializing in furniture removals across the Maltese Islands. During World War II, three of the company’s vehicles were requisitioned by the military. As Malta endured relentless bombing and residents evacuated from harbor towns, Ganni Pace briefly adapted by conducting removals using a horse and cart.
Following Ganni Pace’s passing in 1965, his eldest son, Joe, returned to Malta after 13 years in the UK and Australia to continue the family business. At the time, Malta had recently transitioned from a British colony and was attracting settlers from South Africa and across Europe.
A turning point came in 1968 when Mr. Gordon M. Steele, Vice President of the British Association of Removers, visited Malta and photographed one of D.O.M. Transport’s lorries. The image was later published in the Removals & Storage Journal under the title "How They Do It in Malta G.C." This recognition marked the company's shift towards specializing in overseas removals.
Today, D.O.M. Transport remains a family-run business, now in its third generation. Committed to delivering first-class service, the company has built a wealth of expertise in both local and international removals. While staying true to its roots, D.O.M. Transport continues to evolve, investing in state-of-the-art equipment, including multiple external elevators capable of reaching up to the 12th floor.
With decades of experience and a dedication to excellence, D.O.M. Transport remains a trusted name in the removals industry.
